The Global Open University
The Global Open University is an Indian university established in 2006 in Dimapur Nagaland. It has been established under the provisions of the Global Open University Act 2006 (Act 3 of 2006) of the Government of Nagaland with a view to introducing vocational, job oriented and employment centric education in the North-East in general and in the state of Nagaland in particular. The Global Open University (TGOU) is recognized by the Distance Education Council, New Delhi, and teachers to a UGC- approved syllabus, for all courses as per UGC-approved nomenclatures. It offers students independent study, with flexibility in terms of place, pace and duration of study. The university provides an international student support services network, and provides scholships for needy and intelligent students.
Mewar University
Mewar University is an autonomous body promulgated by the Government of Registration Assembly. The university is further approved by the UGC u/s 2(F) of the UGC act 1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22 (1) of the UGC Act. Mewar University is promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES). It is controlled by a Board of management. Subharti University
Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) is a University under section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (U.G.C.) Act, 1956 set up under the Swami Vivekanand Subharti Vishwavidhaylaya, Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2008 (U.P. Act No.29 of 2008) as passed by Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented by the honorable Governer of Uttar Pradesh in September 2008.
Jaipur National University
The School of Distance Education and Learning (SODEL) of Jaipur National University was established in the year 2008-2009. In Sept, 2009 the University got approval from DEC and the Joint Committee of AICTE-UGC-DEC accorded its approval to start various programs of studies at under graduate and post graduate level. Quality assurance and maintenance have been the motto of the School of Distance Education & Learning, and has all along maintained parity with education offered to regular students in colleges and universities. Arunachal University of Studies Act, 2012 (Act No. 9 of 2012) was legislated in the eighth session of the fifth Legislative Assembly which received the assent of the Hon’ble Governor on 26th May, 2012 and published in Extra Ordinary Official Gazette on 30th May, 2012.Arunachal University of Studies is a State University of Arunachal Pradesh which comes under section 2(f) of UGC Act and the University is empowered to award degrees as specified in section 22 of UGC Act of 1956. In addition the University is also empowered to award diplomas, charters, certificates, Pre-University certificates and other academic distinctions in conformity with the provisions of the University Act.
Madurai Kamraj University
The Madurai Kamaraj University offers 41 post graduate, 35 M.Phil. and 17 Diploma / P.G. Diploma / Certificate courses in the various departments. Presently, 66 U.G. and 45 P.G. courses are offered in the affiliated Colleges. At present 2428 students and research scholars are on the roll. Currently more than 163 individual research projects are being carried out with an outlay exceeding 34 Crores. The University has a modernized central Library with 3 lakhs books, 9,000 e-journals, 3,000 e-books, 55,000 reference and text books. The one Gbps internet connection, INFONET centre with 50 nodes and smart class rooms have enriched the ICT enabled teaching and learning.
Mother Hood University
Motherhood University, Roorkee has been established under Uttarakhand Govt. Act 5, 2015 in the district of Haridwar. The University campus is located in the vicinity of Holy Ganga River at Roorkee. The University campus can be easily approached by road and railway network as it is situated on Roorkee Dehradun Highway. The University is promoted by “Motherhood Institute of Management & Technology Society”. The Society was established on December 23, 2004 with the objective to provide education, research and training to aspiring youth of Uttarakhand and the country in order to increase their employability. The other objectives of the Society are to establish orphanage, clinics, old age homes and charitable hospitals etc.
